Stick Bellhousing - To cut or not to cut

I had a non window Quiktyme and it needed to be re certed , they recerted it and put a window in it very reasonably. They also told me that the window bells for stock are now a 5 year recert, previously a 2 year

When was this, I had mine recertified and was told 2 yrs since the window is in it?

Also quicktime wanted $500 extra for the window
