All of the other national events are all run so I don’t see why that would be a bad thing at Indy. I have been to Indy several times in years past. I was not fast enough to win class or qualify. I would not even consider going with my car. No way it would qualify under the current system. Maybe do that every other year and alternate with the no AHFS deal. Fuel cost might have some effect on the car count this year or some might see it as their last chance to go if they live a long distance tow from Indy. We may never see fuel prices get back to a level that makes travel affordable again. I guess time will tell on that.

There is no TV on the days that stock and super stock run at Indy. With the reduced quota it would only be an extra 20+- cars in each class. Not a big difference in time to run that few more cars. Doesn’t matter either way to me. If fuel cost remain the way they are now I won’t be traveling much anymore.
