Correct Andy, actually a car that qualifies dead last can be an alternate if no other alternates show. This only happens at INDY and it seems many of the NEWER racers don’t understand the rules regarding alternates. Back in the day ALL the alternates would be at the rear of staging HOPING for the opportunity to race….Upon further review, there were 13 alternates and 4 got to race. It’s possible the other 9 either blew up or had other mechanical issues. I know that Tyler B. blew up, the 2 hemis appeared to have blown up and Stacy McCarty,….well we won’t go into that ….so that’s why there were so many singles in rd number 1 …..

Alan Reinhart’s announcement stated Super Street turning tires at 7:30 am tomorrow. Going to be difficult to get the track ready for that start time. It is really really damp here. And I’m from south Louisiana saying that!

The POWERS to be don’t care Brett, They will run them in darkness early in the AM. I have staged there before when I couldnt even see the fricken scoreboards ….

We had a good time racing and seeing all of our friends. Besides the little hiccup in the trailer with the new car, everything else went well. Chris was helping and that is always fun to race with him.

It is never the plan, but always happens when weather takes Sportsman runs off the board during the event.

It was my first time there, and there’s just a lot of freaking stuff to get down the track, even with six days to do it.
