There are many good ones , but for Chevies and Pontiacs I have used Hamburgers and Tilton with good success.

Just make sure you buy either another starter for a spare or get another starter drive for the one you have---these things die at the most inopportune times--They are all basically Hitachi starters that have been reworked--- if you have a good starter rebuilder in your area he can "hop it up" so that it will really spin over but not burn itself out --FED 387

I use GPE Starters in Oklahoma City for my car. Call Jared at 405-340-8986. He is a racer and understands what you need.

In my experience of using most of the brands on the market, Mark Payne, House of Payne, is an excellent choice. Good service, good product, fellow racer.

This one, with the optional pinion support.

Much better design and build quality than other mini starters I've used.
