what is the FGT SS class

The 55 of Hefler has me curious. What are the FGT classes? Is that something I need to do with my 53 Studebaker?

It is a SS/GT car with a 2008 or newer Chevrolet COPO, Dodge Drag Pak, or Ford Cobra Jet engine combination. The problem is that the Studebaker is not in the NHRA Stock Car classification.
