I have seen and used or tried to use numerous carbs offered for sale at much lower prices than the OEM items
Mostly on Onan and other generators. Some work ok but more often than not they do not work right and or they deteriorate badly once gas is run in them for a while They look perfect in every way usually Money saved ends up being thrown away sometimes and nothing but aggravation.....been there numerous times...

My guess would be poor quality material, and or a lack of anodizing or other treatment is why they rot with gasoline, and especially if they're exposed to the corrosive effects of gasoline with ethanol in it, that stuff rots everything it touches, regardless of quality.
