Default Re: Manual Transmission for Stock Eliminator Question

Perhaps Jerico is making all the DR4 parts again, but both my DR4s were wide gear versions, one an earlier model with the smaller, Toploader size input bearing, (Rev.2 maybe), the other had the larger bearing. Anyhow, in 2018, I broke a mainshaft on the later version, and when I called Jerico to order a new mainshaft, they informed me that they were not going to be selling parts for what they called "an obsolete" transmision (anything older than a DR4-4). I thought that was a bad decision, based on how many D4s are out there. Luckily a buddy had a couple of Jerico parts transmissions, so I got the mainshaft, and finished out the season, and then bought the G Force trans. I know that Gary Howe broke a mainshaft in the DR4 in his SS/O 55 Chevy, and Jerico told him the same thing. If Jerico did indeed change their decision, and go back to supplying parts again, thats great, but after selling both my Jericos, I doubt I would go back to them, since the G Force is working great, and I know that parts won`t be a problem down the road, although in the 4 seasons with the G101A, all I have done is change the gear oil.
