All of the Corvette’s are top shelf but one had a difficult time keeping it within the rules. Go figure.

Personally I have had 6 Stock Eliminator and Superstock Cars with Aerospace Brakes and I have yet to have a problem ( I as well never bolt anything to any of my cars that I dont optimize). My personal belief is save your money on the trick stuff that truly makes no ET difference and spend it on making the car reliable, safe and fast. Most races are won by the cars that make it to the final round.

Darcy, are you suggesting for me to leave the drum brakes on it or just not overspend on expensive brakes such as Lamb or MW? It has Wilwood on the front and I believe the matching rears wouldn't be too expensive. I am just not sure if I would gain anything.
The only problem I have personally seen with Aerospace was on heavily bracket raced 4-link dragster I bought about 20 yrs ago. It was owned by a highly accomplished bracket racer that probably used the brakes pretty aggressively and it had warped rotors and hats that I had to replace... |

I'd run it as is to get yourself a baseline, and also get a gauge on the realistic gains that might be possible versus the others in the class........and for what $. Good luck Eric

Before the rule changed to allow aftermarket disc brakes we reinforced the backing plates, also because we used six cylinder 9" drum brakes at all four corners we coasted to the last turn off whenever we could. Excessive braking at the finish line was not my favorite manner of racing for obvious reasons. If I had my choice today I'd buy brakes from Lamb Components. Safety is priceless.
