I gave up looking for an input and just had a machine shop turn down a hunk of bar stock...you don't need the splines. Been using it for 10 years now. Just a thought.

i did same, used aluminum shafting, no splines works great and cheap.

If you are having problems with alignment with the plastic just get it close and put someone in the car and release the clutch as you are putting the trans into the splines. That floats the disc and it should self align, esp if you have the trans on slides or dowels.

That is what I generally do when I am having trouble, but my alpaca isn't always available and I have to do it alone.
