One of the best products for protecting a roll cage, chassis parts, and components is Steel-It. Easy to spray and it needs to air-cure for a few days. After it cures, it will sustain solvents, oils, fuel, and chip resistant.

I have used something called sharkhide for bare metal. It’s pretty easy to work with and leaves the original finish
