Hi James. I see your a Division1 racer. Sorry we have not met. What I am proposing is a project similar to how Bill Nees races. If you are not familiar with Billy's method go to the link below at about 11 minutes. I am proposing that starting racers use Billy's method (sorry we have not met either Billy but I am working on it ). Billy uses very economical cars and runs under the index. This is how young people can join our sport without a trust fund. A well produced and edited YouTube video on building a car like Billy's is part of what could bring more (young) people into our sport. Ray
PS Thank God NHRA created the Junior Dragster class years ago!

Probably not what anyone would want to see, however it's likely possible to build a 90's GM FWD that could drive to the track and then run well under the index. Carry the slicks and tools in the trunk and go have fun. Having an easy way to get fuel in and out to pass fuel check would be one headache that comes to mind.

Thanks for the nod, Ray
I have to tell you this though. I have a friend who produces Youtube videos for a living. She posts two long form videos every week. Between all the shooting, editing and posting, she doesn't have time for much else in her life. It's a lot of work! That's not to say there's not a lot of publicity to be had in this medium. It's just not for me. I've had an idea for a while now about how to promote S/SS racing and get a new car and driver out there. Maybe I'll share it here next week.

I know that this YouTube video is a lot of work but it would be worth it. I don't know anyone reading this that is afraid of hard work. I look forward to ideas. Ray
