I have nothing against South Mountain, I've only heard good things and hope to bring my car there sometime soon, but I think Stock and Super Stock match races would be more exciting in a 1/4 mile format. Would love to see it sometime this year in D1.

You know, Where is more of the action during a run ? Everyone that I know mostly gravitates towards the starting line rather then the finish line. As long as the starting line has teeth, and no one's HP factor will be in jeopardy - I say why not ! We're running out of race tracks to race at, and if a couple of guys want to hang it all out, then they should be able to do so without fear of being punished for there hard work. At least it looks like this might not be a one shot deal, wasn't it suggested to be done at a couple of races? Why shouldn't we " Showcase " the fastest Stockers for all to see. I would much rather run Heads Up / all out - then Shoe Polish race any time. I realize that's my opinion but given an opportunity to have some "Fun" , it could be good for all. Have a Good Day. Merry Christmas and Happy & Safe New Year to All ! Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

They should have left stock alone and kept the 500 mass produced rule in place. And put the factory limited number cars in SS or comp. they never should have been in stock to begin with.
Also any combination that has to purposely run slow to bring the numbers down is obviously under factored to start with. That does not just include the cars in this discussion there are plenty out there, Lastly stock is supposed to be a performance based class. Where guys spent tons of time and money to get a combo to go as fast as possible under the restrictive rules of stock. |

Well, my new min weight is 3590 in FS/AA. My chassis cert is only good to 3600 pounds. It's going to be almost impossible for me to stay within 10 pounds. So, it looks like I'm moving to AAA. Good times.

At least they are giving you a place to race in stock instead of making the combo a permanent SS combo.
