Ed,
You make reading this forum an absolute misery for me and I'm quite sure many others.
Frank

PS; I do like your Firebird.

Well Frank, I post my opinion just like everyone else, if you don’t like it, you don’t need to reply to it. Further, if you don’t want to see it, put me on your ignore list, problem solved for you.

I actually get a kick out of reading 1320 racers posts and response. He is a bit gruff and condescending at times. He can be entertaining. He has a different outlook on racing and the way we race. He is dedicated to the sport and the way he races. His son has talent and is a hitter. He is proud of his car and rightfully should be. His recent rebuild is extremely nice.

Well I know a ‘famous’ track owner on the east coast who used that ploy a lot (69 Camero) dropped it right at the line when opposite racer was dogging. Dude ‘thought’ he had a 1/2 wheel on him but the stock spoiler cut the light. Most would be surprised that even letting off just before the stripe there’s no difference in times, mph yes et no. Not a stock driver yet but I’ve been racing or helping guys race for 55 years.

The MPH on the slip is a calculation based on the time it takes to cover the last 66 feet of the track. With respect to ET and MPH, you can't change one without also changing the other.

My $ says you never make one pass in NHRA competition with a stock eliminator car that you build.
Hi JP I will save a pit spot for your wagon. Some people crash into classracer with less than supportive responses just because it makes them feel better. Cheap therapy I guess.

Don’t let the one dude that never has never raced a class car rain on your project.

Count me in brother! I'll finish this car and be in Orlando come hell or high water. I screen shot his mean-spirited response and printed it out. It's on my fridge now. A little motivation goes a long way.

The word “netiquette” comes from a combination of “net” and “etiquette”. It refers to certain rules of civil behavior for online discussions. You could say it’s a kind of Emily Post for the online world.
