Ed, I'm a very lucky man and I wouldn't trade places with anybody!

so why now do you call yourself a loser, bum and a hack and what does the people you’ve met, some of which you say helped you have to do with this thread?

Because I like it that way.
What does your "greatness" have to do with this thread? You're only as good/great as your last race!

Ya know Billy, maybe you should just pack it in now and quit. You're a 2 time division champ, multiple time Jegs Allstar contender, and now your just here for "fun." Getting in the way of the racers that spent valuable time and money to try and win a championship. Maybe with any luck one day I'll win a few races, and then you can come on here and talk about how great you are because your car is a winning car(to add to your collection of winning cars). Or in reality maybe I should just quit too. I don't have the time or money, or even talent for that matter, to chase championships right now, so I should just step to the side and let the rich guys play. I've met some truly great racers over the very few years I've been racing. One thing that they pretty much all have in common, is that they NEVER mentioned how great they are, and NEVER called another racer a loser for not being "successful."

Well Doug,
GREAT men know when to quit.
SMART men know when to shut up.
I'm obviously neither.

Doug, I've refrain from replying to some of your previous comments after mine, because you're a kid and I'm friendly with your father and uncle.

That said, you've got as lot to learn like not neutraling a stock shifter! You got very lucky you only hit the wall instead of barrel rolling down track. So who told you that was a good idea? It wasn't the car owner. FYI, I've made thousands upon thousands of passes and have never once neutraled my trans nor has my son. There is absolutely no good reason to do it in a stock eliminator car no mind the bracket car you were driving that I know very well.

Anyway glad you weren't hurt and as I understand the car isn't too bad.

This post tells me all I need to know about you as a person. You weren't there, you didn't ask me what happened, and you didn't ask the car owner what happened. Obviously you have never gotten the opportunity to experience the feeling of being given a great opportunity, and out of blind ignorance taking one of, if not the nicest no-box cars on the property and stuffing it in the wall. And then having to drive 18 hours home with someone that has done so much for you out of kindness, and feeling like you just threw it all in the garbage. Again, you weren't there, your son wasn't there, and your friend that told you about what happened wasn't there. But you felt the need to tell me what I did wrong anyway. Thank you.
