I talked to Tony yesterday. He was at home after being released from the hospital. His knee is damaged and might need surgery. He will find that out in the next few days. We put all of his stuff away in his trailer. We asked the NHRA crew about the car and they were impounding it for investigation. They loaded the car up and hauled it somewhere. We were trying to find his cell phone but couldn’t locate it. The car is pretty banged up but didn’t appear two be totaled. NHRA would not let us anywhere near the car to assess its condition. Tony will be OK with some time to heal.

My dad and I were watching on the spectator side of the finish line, he took a really hard lick. Glad to here he is doing ok! Hate that it was out of his control but props to OSW staff and emergency personnel for being quick to the scene and getting him the help he needed.

Just for my own information, could anyone find out the age of the tire that blew out?
