OK -- FOR A PPP SHIFTER ----FIRST YOU MUST adjust the shifter in SECOND GEAR---not First --Not third --Not reverse or park but SECOND gear ONLY----make sure that the shifter cable has no sharp bends in it-it is not binding it is securely mounted----on the gear selector/shifter arm on trans holes are ROUND not elongated, not oval etc. but PERFECTLY ROUND--the shifter arm is not flexing as you are shifting if it is beef it up so there is no flex---make sure that when you are adjusting the shifter arm on the trans that the shifter cable fitting slides into and out of the shifter arm on the trans WITH ABSOLUTELY no resistance ,drag, nothing and that the shifter arm is not moving as you do this --- even the slightest drag on sliding that fitting into the arm will cause problems or the arm moving as you are doing this procedure will cause problems --IT HAS TO BE PERFECT---Try it see what the results are---FED 387

yours was not a similar, your issue was with a Cheetah shifter NOT a PPP shifter.
Again, captain clueless, talk about what you know, not what you think you know! Now back to this PPP shifter issue.... https://precisionperformance.com/wp-...structions.pdf https://precisionperformance.com/wp-...ansmission.jpg https://precisionperformance.com/wp-...ion-levers.jpg If following the installation instructions in these 3 links doesn't resolve your friend's issue, then he needs to call PPP @ (208) 585-2814 Last edited by 1320racer; 07-08-2024 at 03:14 PM. |
