Glenn, when mine does that it is usually the low oil shutoff. I've had it happen when I'm on a very small angled pit spot, or I was actually down a little bit of oil, doesn't take much. One time when it wouldn't start the oil was a tad past the full mark, and I had to drain 1/4 of a quart out. Hope this helps.
