Frankly, IMO, this thread is ridiculous! If a little crud on your shifter mechanism causes you to lose sleep then wipe it off and go race. Further, if you feel a relube is necessary too, chose your favorite lube, grease, oil and just dab it for christ sake. If you must be told what lube to use, IMO you don't belong behind the wheel of a race car but you could call the manufacturer and ask!



If the thread is ridiculous why pay any attention to it.
Seems some have issue with dirt in their shifter myself being one we are only trying to help one another not judge.
When you're forced to pit on grass, dirt and stone dust is inevitable particularly from quads and carts.
Yes the TA shifter would not be affected until the cable wears out.

Sold mine since it would shift into high if my hand was on the handle due to the gate and spring set up. It's fine with air or electric auto shift not so great with 3 speed and manual shift. There would be no issue either way with a glide.
