I think this is old news. Big is almost 93 and 200mph has been eclipsed in an electric dragster already. But DAMN, just when you think all dragsters are generic, that is a BEAUTIFUL dragster!!

I am NOT an electric vehicle enthusiast, but that dragster is beautiful.

Just for the record, BIG will be 93 on January 14, 2025. Just about a month away. Way to go BIG.

Don Garlits is a racer and innovator. This isn't an electric vs internal combustion debate. At 90 years old, Big never stops. He has done enough in his lifetime than most can only dream of and he keeps on going. A racer will drive and race anything. I am guiltier than most as it not only has to SOUND beautiful, but look even better and there better be a cool factor involved also. For most of the S/C, S/G, 4, 6 and 10 cylinder and yes even electric vehicle racers, I applaud you. You guys are real racers.

And for Big Daddy Don Garlits, I hope at 93 to be doing anything, let alone attempting to break records in whatever platform, You ARE an inspiration!!

He was racing before I was born and I'm happy he's still be able to do anything motorsports related at his age. And he's still working on stuff in the museum I've read.

Good for him, but he’s not doing anything drag race related that I’m interested in and that article was from almost 3 years ago. Note he never went around the country making exhibition runs in this EV dragster as he planned to. That said, He will be 93 in 27 days, it’s doubtful he’s making anymore passes in anything on the track
