I just wanted a chance to say what everyone has noticed over the last 20 years since the dawn of social media and popularity being more important than accomplishment. This seemed like the most blatant example I've seen tbh.

I'm also not saying I'm the one deserving of this either, ain't got shyt aint won shyt, but I'm trying my best!
While this is all true, it's the same argument that I worked my way up here but the bosses son got put in the same position as me...sometimes life ain't fair. I hear people bitching that Baron Trump was put in some "advisory" position....regardless of whether he deserves it (he does, he pushed for and set up all the pod cast stuff which was brilliant) or not, that's life. I'd rather not see porn or drugs and stuff relating to the sport I love, but, I have no say in it, so I won't worry about it.

it is sad to say that talent doesnt go as far as a social media presence but 1290 is correct, this is the world we live in today. i may be as good at drag racing as anybody but i personally dont want the BS associated with trying to maintain an "online presence". i dont have the time or desire. more power to those that do. i love to beat the people with lots of sponsors and an online presence. that is what motivates me. nothing is more satisfying than winning with, shall we say, not the best equipment.

ask yourself this. why do not so great looking nascar drivers who will never win anything have hot wives. it is not the looks or talent.

ep-i still like cleavage and hot nascar wives

Care to elaborate???
The car was named the "Pusher"...
I think it was at the Cajuns, don't recall exactly...
It at one time had a syringe artwork on the car...
It was a play on words, racing is an addiction etc.
NHRA made them cover it up because it wasn't "Family Friendly"...
The only picture I can find is on Autoimagery, and it doesn't have it on there that I can tell...

Point being that NHRA at one time had a strict moral code for such things...
But that was in the early 80s...

That was before Jim Head and the "Give me Head until I'm dead" days...
And Penthouse and Only Fans were sponsors...

I guess times have changed.

Next thing you're going to tell me is that there has never been anyone in the illegal drug trade that used their ill got gains to fund their drag racing. Do you want me to start naming names?

Someone once said: "There's no such thing as bad publicity", publicity is publicity, get your name out there and keep it out there...
Nothing better than a good press agent...

I would venture to guess there have been all sorts of nefarious things go on...
Especially as the costs started rising...
They say a racer would sell his momma to keep racing...
Just depends on ones moral turpitude...
Not unlike a lot of "businesses"...

Look at Hollywood or politics...

agree, good looking woman who's business with her husband is social media marketing. Seems to me Mrs. Swoop has proven she knows her business and gets results! Bravo

There is a very famous car in this area that was a ward of the federal government while it's owner was in the can for "alternative financing". After he served his time he got to buy it back too.
