I am sure he is smart enough to do ok.
Jim, I'm smart enough to know that a guy that can't past 2nd round in both classes either can't drive or both his cars are junk!

It is interesting how some people thinks they know something about everything, but when you read their posts it is clear they know nothing about anything.

The original question asked had something to do with just how much has changed in the NHRA rule book if a racer had a legal stocker but had been absent/distracted for ten years. Admittedly, I am just a photographer and my real focus is on the SS/AH class, but I do occasionally post pix of the stockers and super stockers on this website. I am spectacularly unqualified to comment on this question since everybody that has posted in the past three days knows the rule book better than me.

A few responses have addressed data acquisition and weather stations. Nobody has made mention that NHRA now considers aluminum radiators and aluminum racing seats to now be acceptable for stockers. Not required, but allowed.

Well Ed Bigley, if you are trying to hurt my feelings, that isn’t going to happen.

I have won at a National, Divisional level, set records, won class many times, etc.

There have been years that I have been fast and years I have been slow.

I have not qualified at Indy and have been near the top in qualifying.

I have had my rear end handed to me and beat world champions.

It happens to mere mortals like myself.

As sportsman, life circumstances don’t always allow us to be at our best.

The best part of racing on top of the great competition and satisfaction of going fast and winning rounds are the many lifelong friends I have gained.

That sticks with my memory much longer than the many trophies in my spare room collecting dust.

Remember Ed, someone doesn’t always have to be wrong so you can feel right.

Well james schaechter I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, merely stating the truth and the facts about your program which needs work, a lot of work. I suggest you spend less time here commenting about me and more time focused on fixing the many things that keep you from winning!!

That said I haven't spend countless hours in the shop, on the road and at the track, along with weekends away from my family and over $500K in 3 decades to make "life long friends"! We go to the track to WIN races and championships and as Gump has rightfully acknowledged, we have done well!

Clearly, I hurt your fragile ego and feelings and for that, I am sorry. My apologies.

You have nothing to win on this forum and you aren’t looking for friends.

It isn?t to share your vast class racing experience and knowledge because you have none.

Making a 500 inch firebird 60 foot like an 500 hp SSIA isn’ t anything to be proud of.

Why hang out here and drive a wedge between people just like you have on every other forum you trolled?

Haha. Pretty clear I did old boy.

The minute NHRA allows keyboard classes in Stock and Superstock, I will start looking for you on the q sheet .

clearly NOT!

and it's you that should be hoping the NHRA allows keyboard classes, maybe though highly doubtful you can get your junk past the 2nd round.
