After 28 years, my dad and I are going racing again! We started with a truck we found on Craigslist for $400. After a ton of sweat equity we have a truck that is getting close to hitting the track! This is our first attempt at a class legal race car. We are planning on competing as a GT/TC with a 327/270 hp for motivation.

I just wanted to pass along , that's a fine looking Hot Rod you've built. A Father and Son project, I couldn't think of a better way to spend quality time together. Enjoy and have fun, just like the above post said. Hope to see to guys at the track soon. Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

And remember to take baby steps in changing things. Sometimes we want to swing for the fence in big changes in setups, we can get lost real quick on those big swings. Will be fun following your progress, again beautiful truck!

Quick update: Not too much progress to report. . . . . but we're getting there!
The truck is sporting the new "Rodriguez" logo on the doors and a t-shirt design from JRO Design. . . . . My dad and I are working on finishing up the wiring, transmission should be wrapped up next weekend. Looking forward to making some noise before the end of the year! |

Rodriguez Racing Quick Update: New tires mounted, MW driveshaft installed, Pro 1 seatbelts bolted in, checklist counting down to zero! We are in the process of buttoning up all the last minute details and prepping the truck for it's first shakedown passes. . . . hoping to make the divisional at NPR in March!

I have watched, followed, and encouraged from the beginning and am very proud of their work. The truck is beautiful, and I think it will perform as expected. Good job guys!

Thank you for your support Larry, I appreciate your help with the headers and Racepak! The headers were definitely a big part of the build and a necessity for setting up engine placement. |
