Class Eliminations are a great idea, now can we get the fields back up to 96 or 128 so we can have class eliminations.

I believe if you had class more often than not, you'd see that jump in participation. Gainesville has been knocking on the door of a qualified field for the last few years and they always have class.

Every chance I get... ESPECIALLY, if no AHFS or penalty in effect for class and qualifying.
run Q1 ..... start class eliminations Q2 to save time..

How about this. Have Q 1 then round 1 of class that will be a ladder from the Q1 runs. First round of class is part of the Q data for the NHRA race and be in the final qualifying order. C2 and beyond is a race within a race and will not count in the E data. When the category Eliminations start from the qualifying ladder all of those runs in eliminations will be in the E data.

IHRA Top Stock was fun and had winners from all over the country. Sticks and autos ran heads-up. And if memory serves me correctly the winner was torn down right after the race.

Alan, twice in each division per year. Whether it is at a National or Divisional
event, we will leave up to you and your people. Leave all options open
so that we don't become critical. I know as a rule racers never complain
about things that sanctioning bodies decide.

It should also be noted that tech and teardowns seem to be a common theme here on CR. If IHRA plans to go back to championship class racing, that needs to be an integral part of it.

2- times in each division. All nitro jams. Q1 for the ladder then class runoffs. All runs count towards AHFS as the current NHRA system.

The only change needed is allow requests for hp reduction.
If less then 2 triggers. -1.0 runs
If average of all runs is less then -0.065. Minimum of 20 total runs
Do a HP reduction.

Sure there will be triggers and HP will be awarded. But with a consistent system combos can also be corrected if over adjusted. Allows everyone to race and make their decisions at the stripe.

Use your existing HP ratings and run autos and sticks together for heads up. If the HP ratings are different from stock to auto spit the difference and make them the same. Simple and straightforward.

It seems this post has been modified to include AHFS and HP Ratings.
If IHRA wants to keep their life simple, which we want them to do, we don't
want to become more aggravation than we're worth, then the AHFS
should look like this this: over 1.25 under-3.5% Hit. Under -.50 under,
of which records must be kept by individual racer and sent in at year
end for verification-3.5 % reduction. No averages to keep track of, just
easy peasy. No Aspirin required on either side.

The benefits of the current NHRA AHFS system is it takes care of any mineshaft weather events simply. And looks at a sample of all the cars across the country.

Main point is welcome IHRA yes we want Class eliminations and let?s simplify it so we can get more heads up runs.
