GM 307 200/165 change to 307 200/260 1971 Nova Stock

95hp?? In one hit? Who did that or is it a mistake? Thinking maybe 165hp to 160hp?

On the 376/ 385 Direct Injection engine the dome was changed from .045” high with a volume of 4.0 cc to a .060” dome height with a volume of 4.1 cc.

I wonder how many times they had to pour to arrive at the .015” taller dome only displacing .1cc more volume.

Maybe NHRA has a portable climate controlled room maintaining a standard temperature.

Just looking but the 2010 428 Ford piston has w/notches but no cc volume.

I would be surprised if that was not on the tech list of things to do!

The dome shape is different on the stock piston when compared to the COPO piston. My factory installed pistons would have failed....

The head is as-cast too.

If the dome is shorter than specified and smaller volume it should pass tech.
If they say it must be this tall or displace this many cc that could be a problem.

I think that it is important for the stock piston to pass teardown....
