Stan,
I intially made a comment about MIR to this thread and Ed made a statement that I will not stand for. Number one it's untrue, secondly it's inapropriate and it's a form of harrasment which I won't stand for. I expect Ken to take action as he deems necessary.

That's not the most recent message and you know it.

Frank,

Since many people here have had enough of him, and have placed him on their ignore list you really shouldn't quote him.

I don't place anyone on my ignore list. Some days I do enjoy the comic humor as he makes an ***** out of himself.

I?m sure ( or hope)
Ken or a moderator are looking but it would help to have an ; alert administrator button..
Meanwhile the Ground-strap widens..
I?ve also noticed the flow of positive posts and replies have significantly declined.
Good!

Ken has made it pretty clear that Ed is here to stay. Right, wrong, or indifferent, I don't think that is going to change any time soon. My suggestion to those that don't like that decision, is ignore him. Some can't help but to create/engage in childish name-calling arguments when they read something they don't agree with. Controversy creates website traffic, so It's a no brainer to keep him on here. Trust me, I've had plenty of posts typed out that I ended up deleting because I didn't feel like hearing an opinion on how little success I've had, how slow my car is, or how I wrecked someone's car. Trust me, I'm self aware on those topics..

Back to the original topic of this thread. It seems like after the IHRA canned Kenny Nowling, they have been very quiet in regards to any mentions of Nitro Jams, or racing in general. I wonder if that was all an empty promise, or if they are still trying to have those events.

Doug,

At this point, I choose to believe they will go through with some nitro jams this year, but I don't think it will be a 10 race series that they originally announced. If anything, it will be a 3 race series that they announced originally on the last day of PRI. There just isn't time or space for a 10 race pro series at this point in the year. I can see them manufacturing enough space for 2 or 3 races later in the year. That'd still give them plenty of time to win over existing class racers, create new ones, and promote/market the events to racers and spectators.

I think that’s a good choice.

If IHRA is going to have divisionals and Nitro Jams, hopefully they don't rush and use this year to get everything in order and put a full schedule out before PRI. I would rather wait another year rather then have them put some race dates out this late and have dismal attendance. I really hope this is succesful.
