When I did tech commentary for Pro Stock sessions, occasionally it was with Alan if it happened during his shift. I remember him talking about spending a lot of time at the Nickens shop but never remember him saying he actually worked there. But for full disclosure, for some reason we didn't have the best relationship so there wasn't much off-mic personal conversations. |

Alan---worked either for /with or was at the Nickens Racing shop in 2005 while Nickens was working on solving the valve spring durability/longevity problems that they were having--they brought in some F1 racing engineers to try different ideas--either Alan or Bob Frey wrote quite an extensive article on this-FED 387
