Default Re: Looking for a Holley Terminator X wiring expert.

ECU is set to learn 1. Ran the 4 wides and the 1st race of the LODRS Double through the muffler and long 2.5" pipe w/ turnout, just like I did the Spring Fling only it was first quarter mile passes and much higher temps and adj. DA.

Car is getting faster slowly as it learns and gets closer to the target A/F ratio.

Then took the straight through muffler out of the equation for LODRS race 7-4. Over the 2 days it picked up nearly 3/10ths over 3 passes.

It is now (I noticed), more air temp
sensitive than Corrected DA sensitive. And the learning setting may be getting screwed with by the actual altitude change of going up in real altitude during the drives up and down the actual track shutdown and return road.

The last pass I made was round 2 of race 7-4....I did not have time before the Stock Elim. Pairing (due to a late Comp return while crewing Scott McClays Comp entry), to as usual drive up on the return road to warm up the car, and though many others were also missing the mark and many had double/single breakouts, mine was a totally out of it early and broke out by a train load .337 on a .47. The 3 race week plus started in the .60's.

The next races will be a double LODRS event at the Texas Motorplex all done on flat land and we shall see if what I suspect is true concerning elevation changes as it may affect ecu tune learning.

If it is more consistent and faster, I then may turn off learning and return to Las Vegas and test it without other changes in June at the Summit double.

My plugs have never ever looked as good as they do right now. It was always very fat/rich. My review showed dial by actual air temp rather than Corrected DA. Wind is the enemy, and a change of scenery is in order...heading to Texas next.
