The 66 Chevelle looks like Gordon Merkley's car from Div 6 and the mid 80s Camaro looks like one of the Klein/Taylor cars.

Good thing with import of a S/SS is that we need the title to get it out of US. By that its easy to pre-registrer for a Swedish title, with the correct year, etc. Due to the large interest in the hobby, cars older that 1975 pay only $7/year in vehicle tax. (Feels strange to have anything positive to say about Swedish taxes...) BTW, regular is today $7.50 and diesel $8.00. 60% is taxes and VAT on taxes... I miss leaded racing fuel, this new crap smells... cancer... Pelle Andersson B/SA 1700 |

If it really is only $1,300 - $1,500 to ship these cars overseas, that's a lot cheaper than I would have imagined. I paid $600 to have a '69 Camaro shipped from Missouri to New York (and that was easily $300 less than the next closest bid I received), so I would have expected a trans-Atlantic trip to cost at least $3K - $5K.
As for rollerblading backwards, I can only speak from my own experiences, and all I can say is that I'm a disaster waiting to happen skating backwards. I can only imagine how much I would hurt myself carrying a container of traction compound while trying to do it. Pelle & Janne, thanks for your responses directly from the source! I sure am glad I'm not buying fuel in Europe. Anyway, post pictures of your cars here on the site so we can see who we're talking to!
