They just started up again (so grace must be given), but once per race is not enough...anyone improving upon their Q position needs to be retested to validate the faster pace IMHO. It assures the racer as much as the competition (and tech), that run was actually then certified legal.

Same thing out West, but if you improve your position on the Q sheet it is still your responsibility to get that particular run certified legal (so, always stop and bring it to the attn. of Tech, get weighed, and they will give you a cup). Same thing with breaking your own set record the next day in Q3...He had me open the hood and he resealed that engine again. Then finished the chassis measures right there at the scales (completing the entire teardown inspection process, so he could write his reports and certify all the results), but did say Congrats, now go try to win if you can! Lots of racing left to go! ...Before we got into eliminations later that afternoon for Race 1 of a Double.
Then (before race 2 was run, they took the time to tell me), after Race 2 was completed and I was out of competition (his reports were finished and submitted at that point in time), the results were certified, they had me return to the scales, and scan the QR Code for the Record Certificates Website and submit everything before I left Seattle on Sunday afternoon and I hit the long road home, and by the time I got home The e-mail was received stating they (5 Record Certs I requested), were in the mail to me and in the morning the Record was posted on the NHRAracer.com website by the time I woke up after 1 night back in my own bed .I appreciate the work it takes. DIV 6 you guys are tops! They were thorough and I was a happy camper. Also Woodburn also found the missing Last Sportsman Standing Plaque I won on Sunday (they gave me Friday's onsite and checks, but Sundays plaque was on the temp. disappeared list), and mailed it to my home so it was sitting here when I arrived as was 2 checks from The Div. 7 Open in Grand Junction (Quarters S/SS Combo, R/U Non-E, Both Sunday). I am impressed when people (go out of their way & simply follow through without us having to call, text, or bug them. We pay entry fees to race, and they take care of us in the fashion we deserve if we cash or win. I am junking up an IHRA question thread, but that question was answered earlier in the thread and some things need to be said....Credit where credit is due. They get enough no tech crap these days...I had every bit of tech attention I asked for. 2.5 days worth and then some! Dave told me quit apologizing a few times, but he was missing meal times, bed time, etc...He said this is my job! I cannot imagine the Indy teardowns of a lot of cars. It has to be crazy cool to partake, participate or even watch..
