Original post says 400 HP supercharged 5.4L. Smaller cams wont take away 100 HP from a supercharged engine. Not when comparing a passenger car cam (Shelby GT500) vs. an emmissions exempt cam (Cobra Jet drag-pak) at least.
Dick, NHRA has stated in the past that supercharged engines must retain OEM pulley ratio's in Stock. Not that it's the only way to regulate boost but that's what they look for. But for some reason they see no reason to regulate boost on turbo cars in Stock. Ford sells mant supercharged engines to the public. I say let them race what they sell!
