This really is exciting. I wasn't going to go to E-town, but now I'm bringing a friend or two to see Pro Stock qualifying on Saturday.

Best of luck to Lee and crew.

It's Jack Gaydosh's car. Take a look here. 2007 Pontiac GTO

Why is pro stock only a 12 car field? Is that the norm now?

starting this year only the top 12 pro cars are qualified on friday. This leaves 4 spots to be filled on saturday. They did this so if you did not get a good run in the the good fri. night air you still have a shot of making the field.

I think Jack bought this car from Yates. He is on a very modest budget just living a dream. Good job for Lee to step up with his driving accomplishments for a driving spot, I heard they wouldnt let Jack enter the car himself. They told him P/S was full? Dont know if that is a rumor or reality.

A lot of the S/SS racers went to the stands to watch Lee make his first pass in a Pro Stock car at a National event. It was great! He left first and went straight down the track. 6.98 and 197 mph as I remember. Lee did not make the field but he sure as hell proved that he can handle one of those little rockets.
