Why are there any limits in Div. 6? Other than the .90 classes we just don't have a large population of class. Why limit the show when it's not needed? I'd even add Pro Stock bike.

It is my opinion that the racers in the local division that the natl event is contested in should have the first chance at entering the event reguardless of the amount of grading points they have. We have the same problem in div 2 we only have 2 natl events in our division. One is the gators which is a very popular event. usually you have to have 5 grade points to get in. Last year we had racers from Washington state entered and guys from florida could not get in. There is something wrong with thia system. Sportsman racers can only claim 3 nationals for points anyway. Most of us are not running for the national championship just want to racre at the events closest to home.....

it is hard to believe that car count will ever be an issue in the future with gas prices increasing.

Moving to SS from Stock is not a solution for many. Not just a decision of which class to put on the tech card. If you are a 10 lb or better stocker you likely need a cage to move to SS. For some in Stock there is no SS class. For Rory that is not the case with an M/S but he will likely need to be a 1+ under car to run the SS/M index depending on the S vs SS Hp factor. Throw in the possible summer heat and running the index would be tough for most.
As someone pointed out, with gas prices, it may not be a tough in the future to get into Nats.
