Re: Another tire pressure question
Ok...kinda what I was thinking, but it's been a couple cars ago since I've raced anything with stickies regularly. Quick question: with this D-5 compound, are we gonna need to boil these things in the burnout box before each run to get them to hook? Also, is looking at the contact patch from a tire a good indicator or correct pressure, or do I just need to worry about what the timers tell me?
Looks like we've got about 1,000+ pounds on your car, though! Need to get to the scales, but I'm sure an original body/paint/interior '70 LS6 Chevelle with automatic, power windows, and even rear window defrost ain't gonna be a lightweight! She might not be "fat", but she's for sure "big boned"! LOL!!
