Default Re: 1/8 th mile nhra???????

I see all these complaints about a rumor of NHRA going to an 1/8 mile format yet no one can answer what the problem is. I personally don't give rats behind how far it is as long as I can race.
Everyone on here has an opinion and mine is racing the eigth mile puts alot if emphasis on the driver, you can't depend on the track making up something you lost at the starting line. Where I am from the 1/8 mile is king. It doesn't matter to me; I said it before and I will say it again, more people will stay than leave. People are not going to sell their cars like people think especially with the way the economy is. And another thing alot of guys are gonna want to get that win so if there is a chance they can get a easy win they will. I guarantee Biondo, Bertozzi, Fletcher and all the other big names will not be pulling out of racing if this pans out.
