I’m quite sure back in the late 60,s and early 70,s when the muscle car wars were going on they were not running 1940 and 50 engines. This kind of action should bring back excitement to S/SS, giving fans the true potential of the car they have in their driveway.

Colin, I'm part of the new generation being only 21, but I still admire the combinations of old because they are tride and true, and the basis of both Stock and Super Stock. I have absolutely no problem with the Supercharger being let in but I do have a problem with how NHRA is planning to manage the power these cars produce vs. that of the current SS/A-G cars. These motors have proved they can make plenty of power, upward of 2500HP maxed out, John Mihovetz proves that. But how is NHRA going to manage a power adder combination. Outlaw classes struggle enough trying to keep parity amongst turbo, nitrous, and blower. My question is how in the world is NHRA going to manage this?
Oh I know; no class war, just put them in a class of their own. SS/ABF( Blown Ford) hehe coudln't resist.
