What I meant was, if you are sealing the carb / air box or air pan to the factory scoop, it must be per factory installation and parts as assembled. If you choose not to seal the carb to the scoop, you can do almost anything you want using factory parts.
Example: If you had a '69 Road Runner with the RamCharger induction system, you could run that system. It must include all the factory parts. But you can't take the RamCharger system and place it on your '65 Dodge and have it sealed to the scoop. At least that's the way I understand it. I'm open for corrections...
