Default Mopar "516" Closed Chamber Cylinder Heads: How much are they worth?

Okay guys, I'm trying to get rid of three pair of original 516 cylinder heads and I want to know how much they are worth before I get rid of them. I've read that they aren't good for race purposes so I'm selling the ones I have. Please help, I really don't know how much I should ask for them.

They have been cleaned and magnafluxed:

Thanks!

Unfortunately they are not worth much. Most combos where the 516 is legal also allow the 915 which is a better head all around, thus leaving the 516 with little to no market. Even the 906's have depreciated with the availability of cheap aluminum heads on the market today.

If you get $50. for the 516's consider it a good day. Keep in mind the more machine work the heads need the less they are worth.

With liners, mill, and seats cut they may be worth $80-$120. If you have to pay a machinist to do the work you'll never get your money out of them.

Sorry for the bad news.

I just brought about 30 assorted 516-906-452 heads to the scrap yard for 9 cents a pound, I couldn't give them away. Paul.

I have a buyer that is willing to pay $100 a pair for all three pairs. If you are willing to match it and pay for shipping, I would definitely be willing to get those to you. Just let me know so that I get the other sets to the machine shop for a mag and clean.

Hi Frank, I hope to be at The Dutch as a spectator. I have some engine parts to exchange there. The first few years in PA have been a struggle financially, lack of work and some medical issues = broke. Hope to see you there, Paul.
