Where do I find the hp ratings for Stock/SuperStock? All I can find is the adjustments and nothing for my 95 LT1 I'm trying to make sense out of how to find what class I can run in with a 95 Camaro Z28 at roughly 3400#

You probably need to check with the IHRA (send them an Email). The last time that I checked the HP for IHRA was 325. The IHRA is still running the fuel injected classes, so you would be in B or C. You would have to take out weight for B (8) and add weight for C (9) (class x HP+170).

I don't know about Stock, but IHRA has the LT1 at 275 in Super Stock. It was like pulling teeth to find that out. Got one email back from te tech dept telling me they had not raised it last time NHRA did, not help much since I didn't know what it was before that. Had to go to a race to get an anwer. In Super Stock you will be in the bottom of SS/JA (3195 lbs min.) at 3400, add 70 lbs to run SS/KA, 3470 lbs minimum weight.

Unless IHRA listed an adjustment, they use the original factor from NHRA but not their refactor. Example the 85 305 150 hp combo is at 258 in NHRA and 250 in IHRA.

Thanks guys.
It looks like IHRA lsets you decide what class you want by either multiplying your weight by the HP and then looking to see what class you fit. Or looking to we what class you want to run, and making the car fit the class. On the NHRA site, for a 95 Camaro 4sp Auto, it looks like they give you only one choice (factored hp= 341, weight factor = 10.0) so according to the spreadsheet it calculates that weight needs to be 3289. I have the IHRA rule book and it gives a range of weight factor for each class (10.00-10.99) for instance, but I don't have the NHRA book. Does it give a range for each? Thanks again.

Skip, My books show your car as a natural c/fi @ a 10.12 weight break and has a min weight of 3420# with driver .You may go up or down a class from your natural class break .B/FI would figure a 9.00 # weight break with 3095 # as min weight.D/FI would figure a 11.00 weight break with 3745# as min weight ..In IHRA you would have to run fuel injection classes only. These figures are fo a hard-top and not a convertible. Hope this helps ..I will be in New York next weekend working the IHRA div race if you would like to see this in our book ..Hope this helps .
