Default interesting times

I just returned from a business trip and a news release I read Thursday, indicated hard economic times for NASCAR teams....basically full funding for 26 cars as of now, Jr finding funding for 2nd tier series car tough to find..if he can't get a sponsor...wow

Makes me wonder about all of NHRA's eggs in the Pro basket, and snubbing the Sportsman...the true racer (Sportsman) will find a way to fund his hobby, and go to races, albeit maybe a shorter schedule, and more efficient travel etc

I've been watching with interest how long the ads in ND will continue for high $ tow rigs etc...maybe they will. Just watching (like a canary in a coal mine, early indicator of trouble)

Its tough out there, best wishes to all as we hunker down and ride it out

Maybe NHRA will notice who actually supports them nah never mind

Now GM is angling to acquire MoPar to position itself for a government bailout (too big to allow to fail is the going notion)

I never thought I'd see this; makes one wonder about NASCAR sponsorships, Hemi Mopar Challenge, Mile High Sponsorship, the new Challenger, adv dollars and on and on

I certainly have enjoyed the Big 3 competition and am saddened by what may happen
