Default Super Stock Current Rules

I may have posted this in the wrong section, i posted it at the link below
http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=13845

Anyways here it is............

Pretty long here, I got Questions about the CURRENT Super Stock 327 engines rules

-I know the crank stroke cant exceed 3.263"
-I know you can use the GM or Bow Tie block, Due to cost im using an 010 with probally Milodon caps {maybe splayed but probally not being its a wide register block, probally just use Milodon caps that use the factory 4 bolt holes}
-Im using Manley Super Stock legal rods

You used to be able to use a light weight piston {Super Stock} of the same top design, or if it was a dome it had to be no more dome volume than stock but could be lighter -- Is this still the case?

You used to be able to use .031" Dykes top rings, Is this still the case?

The engine will be a 327 10:1, the heads are -291's @ 57.5cc's. Is it still fine to use an .875" wrist pin?

Also, Instead of using the 1.625" H-11 or Manley NexTek 1.64" valve springs, has anybody switched to the PAC1226 which has the same pressure as those two springs but is a 1.55" O.D

Im under the impression they lifted the rules allowing you to run any powerglide, TH400, TH350. Is this the case?

I could not find any information on this on the NHRA site or IHRA - Not sure what we will run in but it will be most likely IHRA which operates off NHRA as a director told me

Do they have any restrictions on oil pans in Super Stock? Also, 10 years ago we would have filled the block with Hardblok, Is the rest of the class using 010 blocks and such doing so?

Also, Timing chain or belt drive?

Any rules on Electric water pumps?

Are Lift bars with adjustable uppers legal as of NOW in Super Stock?

What class would this engine be in if used in a 3750 race weight car in GT, GT/H????? What would be the index in the class this car would fall under?

Thanks for the help !

I'll answer what I know. Yes to the rings and pistons. Not sure, but I think the .875" pins are OK. I don't have them. Yes to the 1.5" PAC valve springs. I changed to them after Topeka, and love them. Yes to the timing belts or chains, also electric water pumps are OK. Filled blocks are OK. I see some pretty fancy oil pans, although I don't have one. Any 'Glide, T350, T400 as far as I know. If you can have a 4 link, you can probably have lift bars. I would find the phone number for my division tech director if I were you. I think they are in Nat'l Dragster.

Good luck, Ed
