Check the air flap on the secondary. it could be open to far causing a lean pop. should measure 1.380 from the choke horn. also close in around the secondary metering rod holes in the gasket with electrical tape. I also run a 90 degree sparlk plug boot on the main vent tube to stop any splash. Check to make sure that your fuel flow at the carb is a gallon in about 20 seconds.
