It is all about the fuel curve your engine requires.(better atomization) Take the carb you have and the engine to someone that has a dyno that is in it for more than showing you HP & torque. What I'm saying is someone that can TUNE. That knows how to alter the fuel curve & is willing to do so while testing on the dyno. Changing jets is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about what the instrumentation on the dyno tells you and then altering the air bleeds & emulsion tubes in the carb. That is what the carb experts do. Some of them are pretty sharp & you still need to make minor changes when you get on the dyno and track. You would be surprised what you will find in power, but you should be testing with what you have first.. With the right dyno operator You can spend an afternoon making 10 pulls & find more than 40 runs down the track. It is easier on you & the engine, too. You can also learn what it wants for timing. Just my .02
