Holley carb.

I repaired an original DZ carb ('68 Z28) a while back that had the same problem.

I milled (not drilled) out the theads, made a bushing that was .002 larger in diameter than the milled hole, cut two slots in the bushing to match the fuel channels, threaded the i.d. of the bushing and then pressed the bushing into place with a tiny bit of JB Weld on the bushing opposite the fuel channel slots. The .002 over diameter made for a nice snug fit. I believe I used a .250 end mill so the bushing wall thickness would be adequate to not crumple when I pressed it in.

The result was nice, clean repair and the carb appears unaltered and works well.

If you have access to a mill and lathe, this is a good way to go.
