Just for yours and everybody's information, TCI just came out with a Clean Neutral, reverse pattern Trans-Brake Valve Body for the TH-400. It has a second neutral after high gear. Part #221505.

I have never put an automatic car in neutral. Several of my friends have ridden guard rails and one died from a suspected wrong selection of gears in the lights. Times have changed and equipment upgraded but it still scares me to think about it. With the fourth gear neutral after high that sounds good.

Joel makes valve bodies with an electric solenoid neutral. He is building me one for a C4. Mike Pustelny also has one of Joels transmissions with an electric neutral. I know Joel also builds a lot of transmissions for a lot of Stock and Super Stock racers.
You can contact him at: Joel's On Joy 20901 Joy Rd Detroit, MI 48228 Phone: (313) 581-6266

I used to go all the way to neutral, probably did it 1700-2000 runs, but now I just put it in 2nd for coast down. Coan standard brake V/body.

Doesn't shifting into neutral at the line have something to do with spinning up the forward/direct drum up past its rpm limits? Or do some valve bodies prevent this?
