It's the same with all forms of sports, "money ruins it" Football, Baseball, Basketball, Nascar, NHRA ect. you name it they all beg corporate america to pony up $ then all of the sudden it's way out of control. Then when corporate america falters it all comes down like a house of cards, it's easy to see the sky as the limit when you're using someone else's money.Look at what a pro athlete makes it's ridiculous, then they pass the cost of this "new millionaire" on to the very people the sport was designed to entertain, sound familiar? The old saying "money is the root of all evil" never was more appropriate than now. You can't blame the entire mess on any one entity the teams, owners they all played a role in it, this is like any other form of entertainment when all the glitz and glamour is gone all that will remain is the roots of the sport.
