At London Ky track they ran 8.5 class this past year there was a mustang went 5.29 I had customer w 3400lbs Nova 18 degree 430 pro charged run 5.42 first time out on 8.5s.I thought about doing that and somebody had posted a crash video that was several minutes long that looked like all 10.5,8.5, and drag radial classes and I said I think I'll pass on that crashing doesn't seem fun to me.I think most of those classes are accidents waiting to happen it's like roundy round racing it's not if you going to crash it's when.

The West Coast Hot Rod Assoc. will be having an Outlaw 8.5 class starting in the 2010 season. This class is very popular around the country and the interest out West has been very positive!.Although the rules arent the same everywhere,we will try and stick to rules with reasonable weights and traditional Stock Suspension type cars with no wheelie bars.If anyone is interested in the class or the rules, you can reach me through the WCHRA website........westcoasthotrod.com
