At a National event, the stocker goes in the dirt I think. Steve Kent does not pit his SS/AH with his pro stock team I think. I don't think Jeg does either.

Drooze,

The answer to your question is no, a Pro category racer (PSB, PS, FC, TF) is not allowed to have a sportsman categoried car in their pit area.
any other combination of cars would be allowed to pit in the same pit area together.

The rule regarding the Pro category drivers was instituted a few years back, predomiantely as a safety measure, due to the number of spectators in the Pro pit area, especially when the sportsman cars are running & would be accessing the pit area(s).

The Pro rule actually does come into play with some frequency. Jeg is obvious with the PS car & his assorted sportman rides, but Alan Johnson & his dad Roy will have their new DP Challenger @ a few events this year & will be in separate pits. Rodger Brogdon was required in Virginia a couple years back to pit his Comp car in a different area than the PS car and (as already mentioned) team owner Steve Kent can't park his SS/AH, Comp or Stocker in the PS pits either.
Larry Morgan, Johnny Gray have also been required to have their family members pit elsewhere also.
Hope this helps,

Unk

Bob Unkefer, Two or three years ago at Topeka, the Pro Stock cars were pitted with Sportsman cars on the back pit area, also are you going to Gateway this week? I need someone from Kansas City to deliver a camshaft. Tom

Tom,
The PS cars were in the same general area as the sportsman cars, but the rule is you can't run a sportsman car out of the same pit area as your Pro car.

Yes I am going to Gateway, check your PM.

A) Not surprised that you didn't pay attention.
B) Tacos. Definitely tacos. If I had a stocker to drive, I'd totally roll that thing through the drive thru. Just sayin.
