can't wait to see that list. I'm sure dart/world products/etc lobbied for it. I will say that small bore bowtie big blocks are made in very short supply and are quite a bit more expensive than a dart/world block. Last time there was a run of 50 they were gone before we could get our hands on one. There have been SOME aftermarket blocks in SS for a few years now, its only fair to open it up. There should be no benefit to them other than beig able to buy a block that you don't have to spend a fortune on to race it.

Did anyone notice that the "special production run, minimum of 50 units, need not be showroom available" is gone ?......I didn't see it where it usually is/was.....if it has been deleted.....what does that do to the Mustangs and DP's ????.....

I doubt it, it was probably deleted to give them even more leeway seeing as that the crate motor CJ's were never "built"

DESIGNATIONS
Reserved for 1955 or newer model-year factory- production automobiles and some sports cars. Classified per NHRA performance rating as listed in the Official NHRA Stock Car Classification Guide. Only those cars listed in the guide are eligible for competition. All cars in Stock classes must be factory production assembled, showroom available, and in the hands of the general public. A minimum 500 units of a particular body style must be produced. Those last two sentences might cause a bit of an uproar... If I had to guess I'd say the cars that are already in the guide are fine, but the ones coming down the pipe are SS cars. Then again, what do I know?

Kevin, you should try to track down your 57 chevy s/stocker. I don't know how many of the older cars will be built (cost, availability, etc.) It might be a good change for the class, and for any fans of those cars. John gsa612

I still think after Pomona will come a decision on the cj and dp cars. Maybe they think by letting in the 1955 and up cars they will make up the difference of the cars that will drop out.

I may be wrong but I believe that only the paragraphs that have rule changes are listed. The paragraph that mentions 50 special run units stays as is if it is not mentioned. Just my 2 cents.
