we use to run them in the old NSCA days, now doing it for Buckeye Stock /SS association series. I think Charlie Harmon runs that series still.

Steve Wolcott runs the organization, Rollie Miller is the event director and Dad - Lynwood - is the competition director. The have some great folks the race with them regularly including Don Bowles and Jack Roush's daughter.

Even though my goal is to eventually compete in NHRA stock/super stock, I raced with them for the first time last weekend at Norwalk. I had a blast. They are great people and run a very organized event. I will be going to more of their events.

Keep in mind, there are many events like this run at local tracks also. Some classes are all out heads up with tire size limits. If you are just racing for fun, these are great events, but if you are serious about winning in the heads up classes, plan on doing a lot of testing and be ready for them to throw a weight penalty on you if you go too fast. I group on the east coast last year outlawed fabricated aluminum intake manifolds mid season and made competitors all use cast alum manifolds. Reason, 1 team was winning all the time with fabbed alum manifold. Team changed over, tested 3 times a week and did not miss a beat, won 11 out of 11 major finals. Rules were changed over the winter again, team is still winning, team still tests at least once a week. These are 2 auto techs with a 24ft single car hauler and dually pickup.
