I have seen and personally experienced oil pressure issues at least 3 times on race engines. I also dis-assembled a damaged BB Chev. and noticed the inside of the filter was completely out of position relative to the can. Fram was the brand every time these issues were found/ experienced. I won't use one on anything since the early '90's. I have had good luck with Wix and Wix racing filters on race engines and I like the Purolator-Pure One on my tow truck. My truck needs an anti- drain back valve style filter as it's mounted at 90 degrees to the engine. I found that some filters were a lot better than others at staying full after the engine was shut down. I don't care for that rattle I heard on a cold start with some brands. The Pure One's and the Mobil 1 branded filters never do it.....
